Ne-Yo Unveils 'Beautiful Monster,' Lives 'Champagne Life'

Ne-Yo doubled down last night by unveiling the videos for his two current singles -- "Beautiful Monster" and "Champagne Life" -- simultaneously, as part of the run-up to the R&B star's Sept. 21 album "Libra Scale."

Each video clocks in at over eight minutes, features an elaborate storyline and ends with a "to be continued" cliffhanger. In "Beautiful Monster," a melancholy Ne-Yo drowns his sorrows at a bar instead of utilizing his superpowers to combat his angry ex-girlfriend Diamond Eyes, who has caused a riot after killing the mayor and taking over town. The Michael Jackson-esque midtempo ballad "Champagne Life" flashes back to how it all began, as Ne-Yo's supernatural abilities transform him into a high-life baller who lets copious bottles of Armand de Brignac flow in the club.
