Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon shows its kinder, cuddlier side in the music video to "Radioactive," which premiered today (Sept. 8) on the band's website and Vevo. The clip for the single, which precedes the release of fifth album "Come Around Sundown" on Oct. 19, finds the foursome running around in a sun-kissed field and playing soccer with a choir of children.

As the Kings tear through the soaring track in a wooden barn, slow-motion footage runs of the band playing with a sprinkler, sharing pie and tossing beanbags with a group of well-dressed adolescents. The video culminates with the kids forming into a choir and adding gospel-flavored backing vocals to frontman Caleb Followill's refrain, "It's in the water/Where you came from". Drummer Nathan Followill joked about the video, "After my Grandma sees this video, she definitely won't think we're going to hell as fast as she did think we were going."

The video seems to suit the rustic vibe of "Radioactive," which is scheduled to hit radio on Monday (Sept. 13). Kings of Leon have a few U.S. dates lined up in September, including a stop in Charlotte, NC on Sept. 10.
