Katy Perry turned Rockefeller Center into a real life candy land for her "Today Show" performance early this morning (Aug. 27) to promote her new CD "Teenage Dream" which came out this week.

The singer descended on her fans from the top of a faux cotton candy cloud to perform three songs on the early morning news show. Decked in a pink glittery tutu, Perry sashayed her hips amidst a lollipop wonderland to her new album's title track as well as "California Gurls" and 2008's "I Kissed a Girl."

Candy wasn't the sweetest thing on set though; when asked about her engagement to comedian Russell Brand, Perry blushed and answered, "He is very romantic. No one compares to him - except for Matt Lauer."

Too bad Lauer was in New Orleans covering a different story. He'll be kicking himself for missing this.
