Katy Perry made a bunch of teenagers' dreams come true when she crashed a prom in Melbourne, Australia recently. Now, footage of said crashing has hit the net... and the nightly news.

Ten news aired a clip about the pop star's improptu -- and apparently inebirated -- 15-minute-long appearance at the formal and performance of Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," as star-struck teens yelled in awe. Two bold male teens actually stepped in as Perry's dancers, as Perry unsuccessfully tried to emulate the choreography to the chart-topping song.

"I'm just standing there, like, jaw dropped, staring at her," said one boy. "I was like, 'I'm just gonna keep dancing.'"

But while students were excited about Perry's appearance, faculty was confused by the whole thing. "First I'm thinking, 'who is this silly girl?'... Who is this idiot?'" one teacher told the news channel.

"She said she'd never been to a prom before so she said she came down. And, 'cause she's Katy Perry she got in, just like that," said another shocked student.

Perry was apparently in Melbourne promoting her latest project, "Teenage Dreams."
