Damon Albarn's musical collective Gorillaz covered fellow U.K. rockers the xx's "Crystalised" on BBC 1 over the weekend, but instead of channeling the band's stripped down electronics, Albarn goes for a more organic approach.

The acoustic cover of the xx's hit is slowed down and sounds more like a Radiohead ballad with Albam playing the chords on a piano. A xylophone takes place for the guitar riff in the song, as the rhythm picks up and the cover takes full effect.

Gorillaz also premiered a new song, "Doncamatic," for the BBC live session, which could possibly be released on the new Gorillaz album that Albarn said he hopes to have out by the end of the year. If the band can get the record out in time, that'll be two albums within a 10-month period. And we thought Kanye was being prolific...
