Drake held his first annual Ovo (October's Very Own) Festival in conjunction with Blackberry yesterday (Aug. 1) in his hometown of Toronto, Canada, and took the term "putting on for his city" to another level. Aside from performing a slew of his own hits, Drake brought out the best of the best in hip-hop, including Jay-Z, Eminem, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Bun B and Fabolous for the inaugural event.

Drake: The Billboard Cover Story

"I want to bring somebody to the stage. I want to pay homage to a legendary rap group, a dude that came out here to perform for y'all. I want y'all to make some motherf*****g noise for the legendary Bun B one time," Drake said after Bun B's performance.

Bun B came on stage and reminded the fans of the Aug. 3rd release date of his upcoming "Trill OG" album. Shortly after, Drake introduced "Forever," his track from the Lebron James documentary "More Than a Game."

"It's crazy, the feeling I get up here with all these people, this feeling that I don't ever want to go away. I want this shit 'Forever'," Drake said before the double-speed drums off the track blasted through the speakers. Drake performed his verse and when Eminem's part came on, Eminem himself unexpectedly hit the stage to roars from the crowd.

"Toronto, put your middle fingers in the air. There's a lot of people in this bitch tonight," Eminem said after his performance. "Toronto I want you to make some motherf*****g noise for the greatest of all time, Eminem," Drake asked as the concert-goers clapped and yelled in excitement, to which Eminem replied with a "Thank You."

"You thought I was f*****g playing around tonight?" Drake asked the crowd soon after. Clearly he wasn't.

"I want to thank the people that inspired me that couldn't be here. Let's go," Drake said as the hollers from Kanye West's "Power" track came on. "Give me something else," he asked the DJ, when Andre 3000's verse from UGK's "Int'l Players (I Choose You)" blasted.  "Give me something from my man who's inspired me more than anybody in my motherf*****g life," Drake said as the piano strokes to Jay-Z's "Public Service Announcement (Interlude)" came blarring through the sound system.

"I'm so f*****g proud of my city tonight. I want you to play them that anthem that they deserve," Drake requested as the violins to Drake's own "Over" came on. "I said I want you to give them the anthem that they deserve tonight," he demanded again, as the chorus to Jay-Z's "Run This Town" played. And just when the fans thought things couldn't get any crazier, Jay-Z surprised the sold-out audience with a special performance of "Run This Town."

Rick Ross ("B.M.F. [Blowing Money Fast]"), Fabolous ("Throw It in the Bag"), Young Jeezy ("Unforgettable") and Kardinal Offishall ("'Ol Time Killin' ") all joined the Toronto rapper onstage throughout the night. It was the first ever OVO festival, but the event definitely proved to be one for the hip-hop history books.
