Close to fifteen years later and the death of Tupac Shakur (also known as 2Pac and Pac) still stings. It may be because the rapper, actor and poet was only twenty five when killed or because unfortunately Tupac's murder has yet to be solved.

Tupac Shakur lost his life in a drive by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 1996. Today, June 16, would have been Tupac's 40th birthday if still with us.
From 1995 till now, Tupac has had eight albums peak No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. "All Eyes On Me" held strong on the chart for 104 weeks. Tupac claimed the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B Hip/Hip Songs charts a few months beore he passed away with his hit, "How Do U Want It" ft. K-Ci and JoJo. In 2001, Tupac peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "Until the End of Time," and "Loyal to the Game" in 2005.
