Michael Jackson's Kids Head to Private School


Two of Michael Jackson's children have left homeschooling to attend The Buckley School in California's San Fernando Valley beginning Wednesday (Aug. 25), according to TMZ. Prince, 13, and Paris, 12, will attend the exclusive private school while 8-year-old Blanket will remain at home. Matthew Perry, Laura Dern and Nicole Richie have previously graduated from The Buckley School. (TMZ)

 

Lil' Wayne Talks Tennis in Sports Illustrated Letter


Lil' Wayne shared his thoughts about tennis and the upcoming U.S. Open in a letter to Sports Illustrated. "I genuinely appreciate this opportunity to express my love for tennis," wrote Wayne, who is still incarcerated at Rikers Island. The rapper goes on to name-check Andre Agassi and the Williams sisters, and says that he is a huge Rafael Nadal fan: "I'm definitely rooting for him to get the Grand slam and win the US Open," says Wayne. Simon Cowell Scraps 'X Factor' Episode


Simon Cowell has decided to dump the episode of "The X Factor" scheduled to air tomorrow night, replacing it with the show that was set to air the following week, Deadline.com reports. Cowell swapped the two episodes following news this week that the British talent show was auto-tuning contestants, leading to complaints of an unfair advantage for some singers. (Deadline.com)

 

J. Lo Asks Kanye to Make Her a Song


Jennifer Lopez took to her Twitter account earlier this week to encourage Kanye West to write her a song for her upcoming seventh album, "Love?" "It'd be so fun to work w him. Kanye - when can you write THAT song for me?" the singer tweeted on Monday.

 

Matt & Kim Reveal Second Album


Indie-pop duo Matt & Kim announced the release of their sophomore album, "Sidewalks," due Nov. 2, on the band's Twitter feed yesterday). The group will release first single "Cameras" on Aug. 31 and tour North America throughout the fall, with its next stop at Syracuse, NY on Sept. 15.

 

Swizz Beatz Recording with 50 Cent


Swizz Beatz revealed that he has recently been working in the studio with 50 Cent on MTV's RapFix live Thursday. The producer said that 50 is working on some "amazing material" to follow up last year's "Before I Self-Destruct" and calls the tone of his most recent work "triumphant." (MTV RapFix)
