On last night's 'The Daily Show' (May 11), Jon Stewart spoke on Fox News' outrage against Common's invitation to the White House. Stewart expressed his disappointment towards Fox News and Sean Hannity's criticism, towards Common and his artistry, by displaying clips of Fox News and Hannity that highlight their "hypocrisy."

"Are we really doing this again? For this guy, Common? The guy from the Gap ads? The guy from the Queen Latifah rom-coms? Elmo's friend?" Stewart added a bit of whit to the mix and I couldn't agree more! It gets better, check out Stewart freestyle below.

It seems like Jon Stewart took a glimpse at our list of Common's 10 least controversial lyrics.

Common placed the negativity aside and performed words from Martin Luther King at Michelle Obama's evening of poetry. "Politics is politics and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I respect that. The one thing that shouldn't be questioined is my support for the police officers and troops tht protect us every day. Peace ya'll!" Common posted on Facebook, before attending.
