Drake's Nicki Minaj-assisted "Make Me Proud," one of seven singles from his current No. 1 album on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, "Take Care," creeps up to the coveted No. 1 position on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (2-1). "Make Me Proud" becomes Drake's eighth No. 1 on the survey in just two and a half years and marks his second topper as a lead artist. He first reigned as a lead act for seven weeks with his chart debut "Best I Ever Had," from his EP "So Far Gone," in 2009.
 
Adding more ribbons to her shelf, Minaj celebrates her second No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Her first, "Moment for Life," peaked at the top spot for five weeks beginning last February.
 
With the addition of 1.4 million audience impressions from KMEL San Francisco, the station which provided the song's greatest increase, "Make Me Proud" bumps Wale's "Lotus Flower Bomb," featuring Miguel, to No. 2 after five straight weeks at No. 1. In all, "Make Me Proud" registered 33 million in audience (up 6%) in the chart's tracking period, according to Nielsen BDS.
 
Beyoncé's "Party" (featuring Andre 3000), which reached No. 2 in November, advances 4-3 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, swapping places with Big Sean's booty-shaking "Dance (A$$)," featuring Minaj (3-4).
 
Jay-Z and Kanye West also play the switch-up game, this time with Rick Ross, as Jay and 'Ye's former No. 1 "Ni**as in Paris" moves 6-5 (despite its audience drop of 6%). "You the Boss," Ricky Rozay's ego-stroking mantra featuring Nicki Minaj (in her third top 10 appearance this week), stumbles from its No. 5 peak to No. 6.
 
The youngest song in the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs top 10 (10 weeks), "I Do," Young Jeezy's joint featuring Jay-Z and André 3000, bullets at No. 7 for a second consecutive week on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. WPGC Washington, D.C. led the chart's reporter panel with the biggest increase in audience impressions in the tracking week, helping to up its airplay  by 7%.
 
Drake's other upper-tier title -- the song that became his 22nd top 10 last week -- "The Motto" continues to rise (9-8) and earns the Greatest Gainer/Airplay badge (22 million, up 23%), while J. Cole's "Can't Get Enough," featuring Trey Songz, drops (8-9), although it increases by 7% in audience.
 
The week's sole top 10 newcomer on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs is Chris Brown's "Strip," featuring Kevin McCall. The song's 13-10 rise gives Brown his milestone 20th top 10 to-date. Stretching to his first week in the top 10 (Oct. 8, 2005), only two artists have made more top 10 visits than Brown: Lil Wayne (25) and Drake (22).
 
GOOD BEHAVIOR: Despite the lack of debuts In the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums upper reaches, Mindless Behavior, R&B's newest buzz boy band, makes noise.
 
The group claims Greatest Gainer honors as the former No. 2-peaking "#1 Girl" rebounds 17-11. The band benefits from a $6.99 tag sale at Target last week, giving the album an increase in sales by 14%. It has sold 212,000 to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The boys are currently continuing their route on the Scream Tour, where they've teamed up and performed with Diggy and Jacob Latimore.
 
Recapping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums top five, Drake's "Take Care," the album that has produced some of the most ubiquitous songs on the radio of late, remains at No. 1 for the seventh of its ten weeks since its release. The album has sold 1.35 million, according to SoundScan. Rihanna's "Talk That Talk" meanwhile moves 3-2 (20,000), bringing its grand total to 583,000.
 
Young Jeezy's "TM: 103: Hustlerz Ambition," a former No. 1 debut (Jan. 7), slides 2-3 after keeping calm at No. 2 the past two weeks. The royal "Watch the Throne" by rap kings Jay-Z and Kanye West rises 6-4 in its 24th chart week, swelling its release-to-date sales sum to 1.3 million. Mary J. Blige's "My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act I)" rounds out the top five (7-5). Having peaked at No. 2, the set has yet to leave the top 10 during its first nine chart weeks.
