A Billboard Q&A with Lea Michele, who has had a starring role on Broadway, a leading role on TV's "Glee," and now a movie debut in the star-stuffed "New Year's Eve," which just topped the box office in its opening weekend.
He might need a book to guide him as J. Pierrepont Finch, the lead role in Broadway's "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," but watching Criss's career moves over the past year, it's clear that he's got an innate knoweldge of how to make it in his preferred profession, no reading required.
We return from "Glee's" winter hiatus and .... yeah. It was an episode, and the music was fine and things happened in the plot, but there really wasn't much to get excited about in "Yes/No" since we pretty much knew the answer to the big proposal question, at least the one that the story was structured around.
Lea Michele is the new face of Candie's! In a newly released ad for the shoe giant, the "Glee" star strikes a seductive pose while reclining atop silk linens and furry pillows. The bottom half of the ad is dominated by a pair of international-flavored shoes and the star's legs that seem to go on for days and days.
"Candie's is such an iconic brand and I am so happy to be working with them," Michele said in a release. "The concept for the new Candie's at Kohl's campaign is about enjoying being at home, feeling relaxed, comfortable and happy."
The 25-year-old Bronx native follows in the glittering footsteps of former Candie's gals like Britney Spears, Vanessa Hudgens, Kelly Osbourne and Fergie -- all ladies who have also mastered sound, fashion... and shoes.
Michele's ad campaign, titled "Hangin' At Home" was shot by photog Yu Tsai at a private residence in Beverly Hills, featuring the actress looking seductive in the kitchen, bedroom and lounging by the pool. Candie's also included a special behind-the-scenes video from the shoot that features Lea chatting about what it was like to be a Candie Girl and her favorite past face of the brand. "My favorite Candie Girl was Britney Spears. Her campaign was gorgeous and she is such an icon."
