Kanye West's Fashion Collaborator: 'We Make a Really Good Team'

As the debut date of Kanye West's much-anticipated fashion line draws nearer, more secrets are spilling from his golden vault. Katie Eary, a British menswear designer has opened up about working with West on his upcoming collection. Eary just showed her first womenswear collection in London yesterday with Kanye perched in the front row.

Lady Gaga Stars in Toothy Film for Paris Mugler Show

As the lights went down at Nicola Formichetti's Spring 2012 Mugler show, a video of Lady Gaga flickered over the runway.

Kanye's much anticipated Paris Fashion Week spring 2012 show walked the runway Saturday night. Based in American sportswear, the collection was clean, sexy, and stark. Echoes of Helmut Lang and Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci's (who sat front row at the show) aesthetics reverberated around the runway as austere colors, and aggressive patterns in the form of animal teeth strutted down the catwalk. A rich amount of suede and leather jackets and tops danced freely on the runway... and there was definitely no shortage of fur.

The front row featured bold-face names like Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, Ciara, Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Jeremy Scott, and Lindsay Lohan. The Fendi family also came out to show their support as Silvia Venturini Fendi and her daughter Delfina Delettrez Fendi went backstage to congratulate the new designer.

Backstage Kanye also opened up on the difficulties and challenges he faced and perhaps still does saying: "The biggest hurdle I had to face is the celebrity designer or the hip-hop designer concept."

Overall, the collection was strong, showing great promise for the future. It would be hard, I imagine, for anyone whose music is so genius and groundbreaking to match that same spark of brilliance in the fashion industry. The "Otis" star seems to be moving in the direction of matching his musical talents. Kanye took a bow at the end of the show in jeans, a white tee, and Nike kicks.

Should Kanye keep his day job? Do you think he'll ever shake the title of 'Hip-Hop Designer'? Weigh in below...
