Country-pop idol Carrie Underwood married her hockey player beau Mike Fisher at a Southern ceremony on Saturday (July 10), People.com reports. The couple tied the knot under a tent at a luxury resort near Atlanta, Ga. before 250 friends and family. The ceremony, which RadarOnline.com estimates at $500,000, featured classical music and the couple's favorite Bible readings.

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the newlyweds told People in a statement, signing their names "Mike & Carrie Fisher."

Underwood wore a Chantilly lace dress designed by Monique Lhuillier. The all-star list of guests included Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Faith Hill and Garth Brooks.

Fisher, who plays for the Ottawa Senators, proposed to Underwood on Dec. 20, 2009 after the pair quietly dated for about a year. After winning the Video of the Year at the CMT Awards last month, Underwood gushed to Us Weekly, "No matter what happens, I go home a winner. I have the biggest prize, the guy sitting next to me. Win or lose, he is proud of me."
