Plan B Croons Kanye West's 'Runaway'
Blue-eyed Brit Ben Drew, aka Plan B, covers Kanye West's "Runaway" in in this week's installment of the Mashup Mondays post-season, which has already featured Karmin, Patrick Stump, and The Band Perry cozying up to tunes outside their normal genres.

The 28-year-old soul-and-hip-hop influenced singer/rapper says he chose Kanye's emotional tune because, "I like where he's coming from; the mistakes he made -- and I like the fact that he's addressing them. It [has] a darkness to it. I think the album [2010's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy"], bottom-line, is about the ugly side of fame. So when I heard 'Runaway,' I related to it."
Plan B, of course, has been busy at more than covering Kanye West in recent months. In addition to playing several festivals this summer, an recent gig at an Elton John Aids Foundation Benefit, The Grey Goose Winter Ball, Plan B has also been working on his film career, both both as a first time director ("Ill Manners") and as an actor.
