In this week's Mashup Monday, up and coming young rockers Hey Monday wield guitars and frontwoman's Cassadee Pope's fearless voice to put a Warped-Tour-ready spin on pop chart hitmaker Jason Derulo's recent single, "In My Head."
"We all really love that song," Pope says of why the Florida trio chose to cover Derulo's tune, which climbed to No. 1 on the pop songs chart this spring. "Before the Warped Tour, we'd been talking about doing a cover and I heard it on the radio... It's the kind of song where if you wanted to make it your own, you can. It has so many options; it's an easy song to take and warp and make different."

Hey Monday, rounded out by Mike Gentile and Alex Lipshaw, are starting to see chart success as suddenly as Derulo did in the last year or so. The band's "Beneath It All" rose to No. 5 on the Alternative Albums chart this summer.
