In today's Daily Noise, brought to you by Fuse and Billboard.com, Bill Werde catches up with Mary J. Bilge at the  Billboard and Hollywood Reporter Film and TV Music Conference in Los Angeles to talk about her musical contribution to the new film "Precious."

After director Lee Daniels showed Bilge the film at a private screening, the hip-hop artist immediately was drawn to the project. "My first impression of the film was that it's really powerful," Bilge says. "It's going to shock a lot of people because the truth is very shocking."
