As "E.T." spends a third week atop Pop Songs, Katy Perry rewrites her own mark for the most weekly plays for any title in the 18-year history of the Nielsen BDS-based mainstream top 40 radio airplay survey.

"E.T.," featuring Kanye West, logged 12,330 plays on all 131 Pop Songs reporters in the April 25-May 1 tracking week (an average of 94 plays per station), besting the previous record of 12,159 plays set by Perry's "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, on the chart dated July 17, 2010.

Underscoring her Pop Songs mastery, Perry boasts the top four titles with the highest weekly plays totals in the chart's archives, an achievement that she's earned with the first four singles from her second Capitol Records album, "Teenage Dream."

Here is a look at the 10 songs with the highest weekly Pop Songs plays sums:

Plays, Title, Artist(s), Chart Date
12,330, "E.T.," Katy Perry featuring Kanye West, May 14, 2011
12,159, "California Gurls," Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg, July 17, 2010
11,857, "Firework," Katy Perry, Jan. 22, 2011
11,841, "Teenage Dream," Katy Perry, Oct. 16, 2010
11,720, "Grenade," Bruno Mars, Feb. 5, 2011
11,686, "Dynamite," Taio Cruz, Sept. 18, 2010
11,676, "Just the Way You Are," Bruno Mars, Oct. 30, 2010
11,428, "Just a Dream," Nelly, Nov. 20, 2010
11,234, "Love the Way You Lie," Eminem feat. Rihanna, Aug. 28, 2010
11,040, "Only Girl (In the World)," Rihanna, Dec. 18, 2010

The Pop Songs weekly plays record is the latest honor that Perry has added to her chart resume courtesy of "E.T."

When "E.T." ascended to the Pop Songs summit two weeks ago, following "California Girls," the title cut from "Teenage Dream" and "Firework," the album became just the third in the chart's history to yield a quartet of leaders.

Similarly, with the coronation of "E.T." on the Billboard Hot 100 dated April 9, "Teenage Dream" became only the ninth album to spawn at least four No. 1s since the chart's launch the week of Aug. 4, 1958.

Perry could further emerge victorious at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live on ABC May 22 at 8 p.m. ET. Among her nine nominations, Perry is up for Top Pop Artist; "Teenage Dream" will compete for Top Pop Album; and, three of the five nominees in the category of Top Pop Songs belong to Perry: "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream" and "Firework."

All charts will be refeshed Thursday (May 5) on Billboard.com.
