Smash Mouth, Tears for Fears Soundtrack 'Rock Band 3' Trailers

A new trailer for Harmonix's "Rock Band 3" has arrived and breaks down the innovative addition of keyboards to the game, due out Oct. 26.
While the keyboard in easy and medium mode appear to use the same gameplay rules as a "Rock Band" guitar, "pro mode" challenges seasoned players with a realistic set of keys. "Having pro mode as part of 'RB3' really makes the keyboard come alive, instead of limiting to a couple of buttons that you press in an abstraction of a keyboard gameplay," says hardware development director Todd Baker.
The clip features demos of Ida Maria's "Oh My God," Them Crooked Vultures' "Dead End Friends," Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," Smash Mouth's "Walkin' on the Sun" and Huey Lewis and the News' "The Power of Love." Songs by the Doors, Phoenix, the Beach Boys and Amy Winehouse are also part of the "Rock Band 3" soundtrack.
