Jim Jones Shouts Out Michael Vick on 'So Athletic' Track

To celebrate the Oct. 31 release of his new mixtape, "Vampire Life: We Own The Night,"  Dipset rapper Jim Jones has unleashed the track "So Athletic (Mike Vick)" featuring Maino. The song nods to Michael Vick, the physically gifted Philadelphia Eagles QB who served two years in prison for his involvement in an illegal dogfighting ring.

"We so athletic -- Michael Vick/Now where my dogs? Michael Vick," goes the hashtag-friendly chorus. "So Athletic" also features an intro that samples dialogue from "The Dark Knight" and a white-knuckled beat by Southside.

Curiously, Jones and Maino are both from New York, and the former celebrated his NYC roots with the hit single "We Fly High," which became an anthem for the New York Giants. The Giants are currently two games ahead of the rival Eagles in the NFC East division of the NFL. Why not make a song called "So Athletic (Eli Manning)," Jim?

"Vampire Life: We Own The Night" wasn't the only high-profile tape to drop on Monday: Freddie Gibbs' long-awaited "Cold Day in Hell" mixtape also hit the web yesterday.
