As "The One That Got Away" roars 9-4, the album becomes just the third in the chart's history to produce a six-pack of top five smashes.

K aty Perry's "Teenage Dream" becomes the first album to generate seven No. 1s on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, as "The One That Got Away" jumps 3-1.

Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' Yields Sixth Hot 100 Top Five Hit

 

"Teenage Dream" passes two albums that each yielded six No. 1 singles since Dance/Club Play Songs launched as a national survey the week of Aug. 21, 1976. Beyonce's "I Am...Sasha Fierce" became the first such set when "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," "Diva," "Halo," "Sweet Dreams," "Why Don't You Love Me" and "Video Phone" reigned in 2009-10.

Kristine W's "The Power of Music" followed with a six-pack of No. 1 singles in "The Boss," "Never," "Love Is the Look," "Be Alright," the title cut and "Fade" in 2008-11. (The album also includes Tony Moran's 2007 No. 1 "Walk Away," on which Kristine W guests, as well as a re-release of her first leader, 1994's "Feel What You Want").

"The One" marks Perry's eighth Dance/Club Play Songs topper. "Waking Up in Vegas," from her previous album "One of the Boys," led the Aug. 22, 2009, chart.
