BRAND NEW MEN: Zac Brown Band banks its fourth No. 1 on Billboard's Country Songs chart, as "Free" rises 2-1. The new leader makes the group's album "The Foundation" the first major-label debut set to yield four No. 1s on the list since Brooks & Dunn's "Brand New Man" generated a quartet of toppers in 1991-92.

Clint Black's "Killin' Time" (1989-90) is the only other introductory album to have sported four No. 1s since Country Songs converted to Nielsen BDS-monitored airplay data 20 years ago.

"The Foundation" is the first album by any artist to produce four No. 1s on Country Songs since Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride" in 2007-08.

Here is a look at Zac Brown Band's four Country Songs chart champions:

Title, Chart Date Reached No. 1 (Weeks At No. 1)
"Chicken Fried," Dec. 6, 2008 (two weeks)
"Toes," Nov. 7, 2009 (two weeks)
"Highway 20 Ride," April 17, 2010 (one week)
"Free," Aug. 21, 2010 (one week to-date)

The band just missed the summit between the releases of "Chicken Fried" and "Toes"; "Whatever It Is" peaked at No. 2 in July 2009.

Zac Brown Band is wasting no time following the success it has built with "The Foundation." This week, the lead track from the band's second major-label album, "You Get What You Give," arrives at country radio. The new single, "As She's Walking Away," features Alan Jackson.

"You Get What You Give" streets Sept. 21.

SWIFT START: Taylor Swift likewise lights up Country Songs, as "Mine" roars onto the 60-position list at No. 26.

As previously reported, the first single from Swift's album "Speak Now," due Oct. 25, is in line for a thunderous debut on this week's Billboard Hot 100 (set to be released, along with all Billboard surveys, Thursday (Aug. 12) on Billboard.com). The song has commanded the iTunes Store's top singles list since its release Wednesday (Aug. 4).

With the launch of "Mine" on Country Songs, Swift and Carrie Underwood boast four of the six highest starts by female artists in the list's 20-year BDS era:

Debut Position, Title, Artist, Year
No. 20, "So Small," Carrie Underwood, 2007
No. 21, "All Jacked Up," Gretchen Wilson, 2005
No. 24, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!," Shania Twain, 2002
No. 25, "Love Story," Taylor Swift, 2008
No. 26, "Cowboy Casanova," Carrie Underwood, 2009
No. 26, "Mine," Taylor Swift, 2010

'AIR' PLAY: After her first six entries on the Adult Pop Songs chart missed the top 10 between 2001 and 2006, Pink's next six charted titles all have reached the top tier. She extends her streak this week with an 11-9 advance for "Glitter in the Air."

With six top 10s, Pink now trails only Sheryl Crow (10 top 10s), Alanis Morissette (nine), Jewel and Kelly Clarkson (seven each) for most top 10s among women in the chart's 14-year archives. Avril Lavigne and Sarah McLachlan have also tallied six top 10s.

Pink is the first female artist to string together six Adult Pop Songs top 10s. Clarkson, Crow, Jewel and Morissette all linked streaks of five consecutive top 10 tracks.

"Glitter in the Air," with which Pink wowed the crowd in January at the 52nd Grammy Awards thanks to her acrobatic performance of the ballad, is the fourth Adult Pop Songs top 10 from her album "Funhouse." "So What" and "Sober" each reached No. 1 and "Please Don't Leave Me" peaked at No. 2. The set is the first album by a woman to contain at least four top 10s since Clarkson's "Breakaway" housed five in 2004-06.
