After a day of filled with high winds and driving rain thanks to Hurricane Andrea, Governors Ball called off Friday’s closing sets from Kings of Leon and Pretty Lights. But the festival and KOL regrouped on Saturday morning under cloudy but dry skies: the band will play a make-up set at 6:45 p.m. and day-1 tickets will be honored.

Governors Ball 2013: Kings of Leon Rained Out on Opening Day

The band's Nathan Followill made the announcement on his Twitter Saturday morning.

"Randall's Island 6:45 main stage, be there. Looks like I get 2 melt your faces after all. Spread the good word. ... Fridays 1 day tickets can be used again 2day. See y'all at 6:45 MAIN STAGE. I'll be slightly beer'd by then. Gonna be a sunshine party."

The tone was considerably more upbeat than his last Tweet about the fest on Friday night, after high winds and driving rain created conditions too unsafe for KOL and Pretty Lights to perform. Several sets were cut short earlier in the day.

"So bummed that we can't play tonight. Had some awesome sh-- planned but Mother Nature had other plans. So f---ing pissed."

More details were provided in an official statement from the festival, which follows. @GovBallNYC has been providing regular updates.

"Governors Ball and Kings of Leon are happy to announce that the band's suspended Friday night set has been rescheduled for today, Saturday, June 8th at 6:45 pm on the Gov Ball NYC stage.

"The festival promoters, Founders Entertainment, have been up all night finding a way to move Kings of Leon's set to Saturday. Governors Ball is committed to doing everything they can to provide the best experience for their patrons and are thrilled to give fans an opportunity to see Kings of Leon play this weekend.

"Friday Ticket Holders Will Be Honored For Today's Show

"If you purchased a Single-Day GA or a Single-Day VIP Ticket for Friday's show, your ticket will be honored for today's show, with GA access. Governors Ball felt it was their duty to reward the folks who braved the weather yesterday with an entire extra day of the fest, and the ability to see Kings of Leon perform their first show in NYC in 3 years. Please note two important things:

- 1) This offer is exclusive to festival access and does not include transportation.
- 2) Friday VIP Tickets will not have VIP access, only GA access.

"To accommodate the changes, set times on the Gov Ball NYC Stage have been adjusted and Moon Hooch's 12:15 pm set has been moved to the SKYY Vodka Tent. An updated schedule is available at GovBall.com."

Today’s forecast calls for morning showers followed by partly cloudy weather and 80-degree temperatures.
