Alan Jackson’s last tour of Australia was a surprise blockbuster. It’s no surprise he’s coming back for more.

The country star will embark on a multi-date tour of Australia this September and October, playing six arena and outdoor shows up and down the east coast of the country.

The full itinerary was revealed over the weekend. Jackson’s tour will start September 26 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, the scene of his three-show sell-out on his last swing around these parts in 2011. As previously reported, the tour will include a headline set at the CMC Rocks North Queensland Festival in Townsville on Sept. 28, and there's newly-announced shows at Sydney’s Allphones Arena, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and the Deni Ute Muster in the state of New South Wales.

“I’d always heard great things about Australia, and everybody was right – it’s a beautiful country and the people were really nice,” Jackson says in a statement. “I really enjoyed it, and I’m glad to be going back to play for the folks Down Under who love country music.”

Country music has been growing in profile in Australian concert schedules and Jackson is at the front of the herd. He shocked many when his March 2011 arena tour of Australia’s big-three cities rapidly sold-out, and extra dates were added to meet demand. Organizers now say it was the fastest-selling country tour in Australian history.

Rob Potts Entertainment Edge, Chugg Entertainment are again teaming for the 2013 tour, alongside Foxtel’s Country Music Channel (CMC). Jackson will be joined on the shows by special guests Sara Evans and Morgan Evans.
