Live Nation, the world's leading live entertainment company, announced today (Jan. 11) that it has entered into a long-term lease agreement to operate, manage and book the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix.

Bruce Eskowitz, Live Nation's president/CEO of global venues and alliances, says the decision to sign a long-term deal fits with Live Nation's strategy to expand its mid-size venue reach in the top 25 U.S. markets.

Since its opening in 2002, Dodge Theatre -- which has a capacity ranging from 1,900 to 5,500 -- has hosted such acts as Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban, Coldplay, David Bowie, Keith Urban, Neil Young and comedian Dave Chappelle, to name a few.

Upcoming performances through February at the Phoenix venue include visits from Bill Cosby, Chris Tomlin, Doodlebops Live!, the Moody Blues, and a three-night stand with comedian George Lopez.
