Delta Airlines has shifted its "carry-on" policy and will now allow small musical instruments and guitars onboard all flights, something the airline would not approve after restrictions were tightened following 9/11.

The American Federation of Musicians, which boasts a 100,000 strong membership and was boycotting the airline due to its restrictive policy, applauded the airline's decision and lifted the boycott.
