Two weeks into her upcoming Verizon VIP Tour, on June 13, Fergie will be the first artist to perform in concert at the newly branded Fillmore Detroit, previously known as State Theatre.

As previously reported, Fergie's upcoming 20-city solo tour will be sponsored by Verizon Wireless, with no paper tickets being sold. Instead, fans can download mobile tickets to their mobile phones, which can be presented at venues for entry.

In late March, Live Nation expanded its Fillmore franchise by re-branding venues in New York, Philadelphia, with others to follow. They join Fillmore venues in San Francisco and Denver.

"So far we have had two successful Fillmore openings and music fans love it," Bruce Eskowitz, Live Nation's CEO of North American Music, said in a statement. "By adding State Theatre to our list of Fillmore venues, we hope to improve upon an already great concert experience for Detroit concertgoers."

As with other Fillmore-branded venues, Fillmore Detroit will feature classic red-hued walls, fresh apples, hundreds of vintage concert posters and numerous chandeliers. Additionally, in true Fillmore tradition, commemorative posters of that evening's concert will be handed to fans as they exit the building.
