Live Nation San Francisco, in consultation with the California Environmental Association, has implemented several new initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy use and waste generated by six of its Bay Area venues.

As part of its overall strategy to make Live Nation S.F. more environmentally friendly, in various facilities, the company plans to provide upgraded parking for hybrid vehicles, install energy-saving lighting and watering systems, add more recycling bins and send fans educational eco-alerts via e-mail, among other initiatives.

A complete outline of its green strategy can be found at livenation.com/sfgreen. The Web site features a feedback section where fans can submit their own ideas and suggestions for how to make the company greener.

Participating Bay Area venues are Mountain View’s Shoreline Amphitheatre, Concord’s Sleep Train Pavilion and San Francisco’s Fillmore, Warfield, Punch Line Comedy Club and Cobb’s Comedy Club.
