In the wake of Live Nation's acquisition of Fantasma Productions, Steve Peck, responsible agent for the artists of Fantasma Tours International, Fantasma's booking division, has opened Diversified National Artists (DNA).

Lori Stoll, widow of Fantasma founder Jon Stoll, had retained ownership of the booking division when Live Nation bought Stoll's concert assets.

DNA will retain the entire Fantasma artist roster and will sign new acts. Among the artists on the roster are Bob Welch, Edgar Winter, A Flock of Seagulls, Ambrosia, 10,000 Maniacs, Gallagher, Gary Wright, Great White, the Knack, Rare Earth, Rick Derringer, and many others.

"This has been in the works for awhile," says Peck in a statement. "I absolutely respect the folks at Live Nation. With the changes at Fantasma, it just made sense to proceed with this plan."

The veteran artist representative began his career in 1977 and worked with such agencies as the Bobby Roberts Company and Buddy Lee Attractions. Since the inception of Fantasma Tours International in 1997, he has directed all operations at the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based talent agency. Peck says DNA will remain headquartered in Florida but will open offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and Las Vegas.

The L.A. office will be headed up by the manager/agent combination of Rich Rees and Obi Steinman and will book the West Coast. Mike Arturi will run the Chicago office and focus on the Midwest. DNA's Las Vegas operations will be overseen by radio and music industry veteran Wayne Coy, who will handle casino clients in Vegas, Laughlin and Reno, in addition to radio shows nationwide.

Fantasma alum Jeff Miller will work with Peck out of the agency's new offices in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., until Peck relocates to Nashville later this summer. Miller's primary territories will be the South and Northeast. Consultant/artist manager Jake Hooker will serve as a marketing consultant to DNA.

The new agency will also have an international presence, with the addition of agents that will specialize in overseas booking.

Meanwhile, there is no official word as to whether Lori Stoll will continue Fantasma Tours International.
