Perry Farrell Talks Art, Commerce, Lollapalooza; Compares Himself With Axl Rose @ BB Touring Conf (Video)

Shortly after Perry Farrell's Keynote Q&A on Thursday (Nov. 10) with Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde at our Touring Conference - which included talk about Perry's history, Lollapalooza, Jane's Addiction and his vision for the future of music -- the two sat down for a more intimate video interview. In the following clip, Perry discusses his career and its legacy, the burgeoning South American touring market, his natural sense of competition, and particularly how much he values art over commerce.

"I honestly wish I was much more popular," Farrell says, "but that's just the way things fell, and I'm accepting of my situation and my place." He also compares his career with that of Axl Rose, and recalls a friend saying, "Axl might have made the money, but you're da man"
