For the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the past six years have been anything but normal. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the festival took a major hit not only in attendance but also in acts, stages and food booths, knocking the thirty-year-old festival back to its hard core group of locals.

Festival President Quint Davis stopped by to explain how the festival came back from that downturn, rebuilt itself into a version that within four years was as large as it had ever been, and the ways in which the festival is looking to expand and tap into the large industry presence that graces its seven-day, two weekend format.
