Cara Lewis - Agent for Kanye West, Eminem, More - Leaving William Morris

Cara Lewis, a major agent in the hip-hop world whose clients include Kanye West, Eminem, B.o.B, Common and many more -- and the no. 14 honoree in Billboard's 2011 Women in Music executives -- is leaving William Morris Endeavour at the end of the month when her contract expires, a source has confirmed to Billboard.biz. The news was first reported on by Deadline..com.

She has been with William Morris for some 23 years and has a stellar roster of clients that also includes Big Boi, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Soulja Boy, the Roots and Tinie Tempah. Deadline.com said, "A source close to Lewis confirmed she'll leave, saying they just couldn't come to terms on a new deal."

Lewis has been riding high this year, with West's Coachella appearance, his " Watch the Throne" tour with Jay-Z and Eminem's forthcoming Australian tour.

"This is a tough business to be in. The landscape is ever-changing," Lewis told Billboard earlier this year. "I love my clients, their music and the opportunity to be a partner in their success."
