The past few days have seen a noticeable uptick in violence, drug overdoses and/or deaths at four separate concerts, which include the Mansfield, Mass., stop of Live Nation's electronic dance music IDentity Festival, a shooting at Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan's Raleigh, N.C. concert and a stabbing at a Tenacious D's performance at Las Vegas' House of Blues venue.

According to a Boston Globe report two people died this past Thursday (July 26) and twenty people were hospitalized at the Mansfield, Mass., stop of the IDentity festival at the Comcast Center. The Globe reported that Impelizzieri was resuscitated by EMS after going into cardiac arrest, but later died at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence as a result of the substances he ingested. The paper said Brandon also died of cardiac arrest at Boston Medical Center from the effects of ecstasy, amphetamines, and marijuana, according to his mother.

Police Chief O'Neill said alcohol and drugs "were pervasive" and that 45 people were arrested on drug and alcohol charges. He also noted that it was "not an inordinate amount of arrests for a show of that size."

According to reports by ABC.com, Travis Pollard of Hamstead, N.C. suffered non life-threatening injuries following the dispute and was treated at Raleigh's WakeMed hospital.

Jason Aldean responded to the news on Twitter saying that "There's no excuse 4 things getting that heated in traffic leavin a show. I'm prayin 4 the fan who was injured and thanx to the Raleigh police for acting so quickly."

Finally, on Saturday night (July 28), at Tenacious D's House of Blues show at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay, a fight broke out about halfway into the band's 90-minute set. According to a report in the Las Vegas Sun, an altercation resulted in two stabbing victims being transported to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jose Hernandez, a Las Vegas Metro Police spokesman, told the paper that intoxicated individuals got into a shoving match that turned into a "crazy melee."

Tenacious D ended their set following the incident and the band Steel Panther, who were slated to play afterward, also had to cancel their show.
