Live Nation Florida president Neil Jacobsen said putting the show together had been a "labor of love." He added, "We are very excited to bring a world class Blues Festival to Florida as an annual event."

While maybe a labor of love, the festival boasts an impressive lineup, including Dr. John (performing St. Petersburg and Boca Raton only), contemporary guitar legend Walter Trout; Louisiana slide wizard Sonny Landreth; Allman Brothers drummer Jaimoe's Jasssz Band; the Wood Brothers; British blues guitarist Matt Schofield; Big Sam's Funky Nation; Florida guitarist Bobby Lee Rodgers; Joe Louis Walker; and guitarist Sean Chambers.

Headliners the Tedeschi Trucks Band, headed by Susan Tedeschi and guitarist Derek Trucks, won a Grammy this year for Best Blues Album for "Revelator," which debuted at No. 12 on on the Billboard 200.

Tickets to the three-day event went on sale Oct. 6 at livenation.com.
