Atlantic-affiliated Vice Records will distribute releases from Paris-based Ed Banger Records in the U.S. via a licensing agreement. The French label was founded by longtime Daft Punk manager Pedro Winter, and Vice is already the U.S. home for the label's DJ duo Justice.

Vice will began digitally releasing Ed Banger albums on Jan. 16, 2007. Among the initial crop of digital releases will be an "Ed Rec Vol. 1" compilation, and a number of singles from Ed Banger Records. Vice released Justice's six-song "Waters of Nazareth" on June 6. Justice is perhaps best known in the U.S. for the song "We Are Your Friends", which won best video at the MTV Europe Music Awards and caused a miffed Kanye West to rush the stage in protest.

Vice -- home to such acts as the Streets and Bloc Party -- is partnered with Atlantic Records, with many of its releases being distributed by the Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance.
