Sony BMG has announced that "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks has signed to 19 Recordings/Jive Records. The label will release lead single, "Tattoo," on Aug. 27, followed by her still as-yet-untitled debut album in November.

"We're thrilled to welcome the partnership with 19 Recordings and Jordin Sparks as the first Idol winner to make her home at Jive," Zomba CEO Barry Weiss said via a statement. Sparks added, "I can't wait to share this next chapter of my story with all the fans that have supported me so far."

The first Jive release from 17-year-old Sparks, whose first place finish on "American Idol" this Spring all but guaranteed a de facto deal with a Sony BMG label, will be the single "Tattoo," produced by Stargate (Beyoncé, Ne-Yo) and co-written with Amanda Ghost (James Blunt's "Beautiful").

"I'm feeling a little bit of pressure because it's coming up so fast," Sparks told earlier this month. "But I have full confidence that we'll finish it by the time we have to."

Sparks has been recording songs for the album during the American Idols Live Tour this summer, which runs through Sept. 22. Sparks is also scheduled to appear on the Teen Choice Awards, which airs on Fox on Aug. 26.
