Bill Levenson, senior VP of A&R for Universal Music Enterprises, is exiting the company after 28 years in the PolyGram/Universal camp. Tomorrow (Dec. 21) is his last day.

Levenson, who ran A&R for the catalog division, says he will take some time off and then look for a way to stay in the music industry, even if its as a catalog consultant.

During his tenure, Levenson helmed many high profile projects including those by Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Van Morrison, the Velvet Underground and Cat Stevens.
