The MP3 store at Amazon.co.uk is offering a track from each of the 12 nominees for the 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize for 29 pence (48 cents).

The nominations were announced yesterday (July 21) and include Kasabian, Florence and the Machine, La Roux, Bat for Lashes and Lisa Hannigan. The annual prize, decided by a judging panel, recognizes the best U.K. or Irish album of the year.

Track prices for the artists' current releases are typically 79 pence ($1.29) and 69 pence ($1.13) on amazon.co.uk.
