Jerry Brackenridge, a highly regarded music industry sales executive, died on Nov. 26 in Seattle. He was 66.

Brackenridge, who had been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer for a few years, began his career in the music industry working in the mailroom for EMI. He would ultimately log 38 years at EMI, rising to the title of VP of field sales. By the time he left EMI due to layoffs in 2002, he was known as a superb salesman and was a beloved industry executive.

Jeff Ivan, who worked for Brackenridge at EMI and regarded him as a mentor, said Brackenridge "fought a very tough and brave battle these past few weeks."

Brackenridge is survived by his wife, Laura, and his two kids Chad and Brandy, from his first marriage.
