MySpace Records announced two key changes as of part its relaunch: the hiring of David Andreone as the company's new GM, and a label services partnership with Downtown Music.

Originally intended to be a small, data-driven operation, MySpace Records grew under original leader J Scavo. But when Scavo left the company, most of the staff was laid off. Interscope Records will remain as the upstream partner for MySpace Records.

With the help of Downtown's team, MySpace Records artists will retain the opportunity to be picked up by a major label; past artists who have made that move include Kate Voegele, Christina Milian and Mickey Avalon.
