Luke Burland, senior vp of publicity at Warner Bros. Records, is leaving the company. During her 15-year tenure, Burland helmed projects by Josh Groban, Seal, Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Jason Derulo and Brandy Clark, among others.

Billboard has obtained a copy of an internal staff memo from Warner Bros. Records chairman/CEO and Warner/Chappell chairman Cameron Strang on the news:

Hello everyone,

As some of you already know, Luke Burland is moving on from WBR. A force of nature, Luke has been a vital member of our family for 15 years, and during that time she has helped build the careers of an impressive array of artists. One of the most accomplished publicists in the industry, she leaves behind a department full of highly creative and dedicated artist advocates. We are in the process of appointing new leadership for the team, and I will be updating you all soon.

Passionate, colorful and always stylish, Luke has been a wholehearted champion of this great label and our artists. On behalf of everyone at WBR, I would like to thank her for everything she's achieved here and wish her all the best with her ongoing adventures. I know she will be making an announcement soon, so all I can say at the moment is that I'm pleased that we'll still be working with her in her new role.

All the best,

Cameron

Burland is married to Bill Bennett, the former president of Warner Bros. Nashville and Maverick Records. She declined to specify at this time what her next move will be.
