Bree Nevin has joined Kobalt Label Services as Creative Brand and Synchronization Manager in an effort to expand their synchronization services. Nevin will work under Michelle Stoddart, SVP of Synchronization and Digital Media, and help place music from the label in film and television.
“I feel privileged to work with such a rich and diverse catalogue of composers and artists and look forward to exploring complimentary cross marketing alliances for them, across brands and film,” Nevin wrote in a press statement.
Nevin has worked in various roles as a licensing manager, music supervisor, and independent sync representative for such companies as Warp Records, Mushroom Music Publishing, and Hyperdub Records. She has placed music in campaigns for Honda Civic, Audi, and Nokia as well in films such as "Twilight: New Moon" and "Blue Valentine".
"Her addition to our global team will further enhance the quality of service we provide, and ensure that our clients benefit from the full range of revenue opportunities in today's market," said managing director Paul Hitchman, who made the announcement today.
Kobalt Label Services was launched in 2012 as an alternative to the traditonal label model. Earlier this year, the company gained major attention when they released Nick Cave's Push the Sky Away, the artist's first release without longtime label Mute. KLS' roster includes Prince, New Kids on the Block, and Pet Shop Boys.
