Nico & Vinz, the Norwegian singer/songwriter duo, have signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the company announced today.
Nico & Vinz enjoyed recent success with “Am I Wrong”, which reached No. 6 (June 14) on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the most- Shazamed song worldwide, according to the song-identifying service's Website.
“We are so happy to join the legion of great songwriters at Warner/Chappell Music,” Nico & Vinz said in a statement. “We look forward to reaping the benefits of having them on our team.”
“Am I Wrong” has been all over Billboard’s charts, reaching No. 3 on the Digital Songs chart, No. 7 on the Adult Top 40 and No. 10 on both the Mainstream Top 40 and the Radio Songs charts.
The song is "undoubtedly one of 2014’s biggest songs of the summer,” stated WCM North America President Jon Platt. “It’s clear the duo have only scratched the surface of their success as international hit-makers.”
Nico & Vinz have enjoyed triple platinum success in Europe, as Envy, and have now broken through stateside with a name change. Their upcoming album, “Black Star Elephant”, is poised to do well when it comes out later this year.
