Crosstown Songs has signed a publishing deal with songwriter/producer Rhett Lawrence, acquiring a portion of his catalog and entering an exclusive co-publishing agreement for his future work.

Under the deal, Crosstown acquired between 30% and 50% interest in Lawrence's share of songs he produced and co-wrote, including Mariah Carey's "Sent From Up Above"; Kelly Clarkson's "Miss Independent"; Black Eyed Peas' "Request + Line" (co-produced); Jessica Simpson's "Forever In Your Eyes"; Enrique Iglesias' "Alabao"; and Monica & Eternal's "Angle of Mine."

Lawrence also co-wrote two tracks on Hilary Duff's new "Dignity" album, "Play With Fire" and "Happy."
