Details on the sale of Dimensional Music Publishing, first reported by Billboard.biz, are now in. First State Media Group, a joint venture between a management team led by Steve McMellon and Colonial First State Global Asset Management, led the acquisition of Dimensional's publishing assets. Colonial is the consolidated asset management business of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Dimensional's employees in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville will become employees of First State Media once the acquisition is completed. Current Dimensional president Neil Gillis will be president of First State Media's U.S. operations.

McMellon, who will run the company, is managing director of First State Media, which has operations in the U.K., the U.S., Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, South Africa and Australia.

The catalog of more than 25,000 titles includes songs by Billy Strayhorn, the Byrds, John Denver, Leon Russell, Rickie Lee Jones, Jimmy Eat World, Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Lifehouse, Boomkat, Buster & Shavoni, Aura Jackson, Craig Brockman and Joshua Thompson. Titles include "Disco Inferno," "Somebody to Love," "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Leaving On A Jet Plane" and "Monster Mash." The catalog also includes an interest in country songs performed Martina McBride, Lonestar, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flats, Sara Evans and Jessica Andrews.
