Grammy-nominated songwriter Shelly Peiken has signed a publishing administration deal for the world, excluding Australia and New Zealand, with international publisher Kobalt Music.

As part of the agreement, Kobalt will represent Peiken -- who has penned hits for Christina Aguilera, Brandy, Natasha Bedingfield and Celine Dion, among many others -- for synchronization including films, TV, advertising, ringtones and other media.

Willard Ahdritz, CEO and founder of Kobalt said in a statement: "Shelly Peiken will be working closely with our Los Angeles senior creative executive, Benjamin Groff, and our creative and synch team to generate new songwriting collaborations and other opportunities in the U.S. and around the world."

The Kobalt Music group is an independent publisher with offices in Berlin, London, New York, Nashville and Los Angeles. Clients include William Orbit, Barry Manilow, Nine Inch Nails and the late James Brown.
