ASCAP has reached a new milestone, now counting more than 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers as members.

The performing rights organization, founded in 1914, licenses a repertory of more than 8.5 million songs. It reported record revenues of $785 million and royalty payments of $680 million for 2006, as well as an all-time low operating expense ratio of 12%.
