Sony/ATV Music Publishing's integration of Famous Music is still underway after the acquisition deal closed in August, has learned.

As with most integrations, the two top executives of the acquired company are no longer working with the publisher. Former Famous chairman/CEO Irwin Robinson is now handling operations for other publishing interests of Paramount Pictures, the former parent company of Famous. Former president/COO Ira Jaffe, whose creative talents helped the publisher land deals with top producer/songwriter Linda Perry, artist/songwriters Akon, Shakira and many others, is exploring other opportunities.

As previously reported, Sony/ATV anticipates that its administration will primarily be handled from its Nashville offices. Most of the Los Angeles-based Famous administration staff is working through much of the transitional phase, sources say, with many of them expecting to stay onboard through June 2008. Famous senior VP of legal and business affairs, KentKlavens, is expected to stay on at least through October, possibly through December, says a source close to the situation.

The four members of Famous' creative staff in Los Angeles, New York, London and Miami are expected to continue working with Sony/ATV, says a source, but the Nashville staff of four was laid off.

Sony/ATV did not comment.
