Legendary songwriter Paul Simon has renewed his worldwide publishing administration deal outside North America with Universal Music Publishing Group.
Universal will be administering the catalog as well as future works of the 14-time Grammy Award winner. Among the more than 420 songs are Simon & Garfunkel compositions like "Mrs. Robinson" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as well as Simon's solo work, including "Graceland" and "Slip Slidin' Away."
Warner Bros. released in June the 36-track double-disc set, "The Essential Paul Simon," in celebration of Simon’s Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress.
David Renzer, chairman/CEO of UMPG, announced the deal today. Simon is managed by Eddie Simon and Jeff Kramer.
