Amanda Ghost, co-writer of James Blunt's breakout hit "You're Beautiful", has signed an exclusive worldwide deal with EMI Publishing.

Ghost also has co-writing credits on Beyonce and Shakira's Grammy-nominated "Beautiful Liar" and "Tattoo" by "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, as well as being a solo artist on her own Plan A Records.

Ghost is currently working with her regular songwriting partner Ian Dench on projects with artists including Mark Ronson, Stargate, Daniel Merriweather, Will I. Am and Johnny Flynn.

"Amanda has incredible versatility across many genres, as well as that all-important ability to write a killer hook," says EMI Music Publishing U.K. MD Guy Moot, in a statement. "We're really pleased to have this opportunity to work with her over the coming years to help develop her career even further."

In the statement, Ghost adds, "I have been really impressed by the way EMI supports its writers and am looking forward to working with Guy and his team."

Ghost is also working with Liam Howlett as a consultant on the new album by U.K. dance act the Prodigy and plans to team up with Beyonce on a future project. She is also releasing a download-only collection of her own recordings.

EMI Publishing's songwriting roster includes Alicia Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Natasha Bedingfield, Jay-Z, My Chemical Romance, Take That, Kanye West and Amy Winehouse.
