Sony/ATV Music Publishing executive Janice Brock has earned a promotion.

The British executive has been named to the new role as senior VP, U.K. operations, in addition to her current role as VP, office of the chairman.

Brock will relocate from New York to London, where she will be based out of the music publishing giant's U.K. HQ.

In a statement isuued today, Sony/ATV Music Publishing chairman and CEO Martin Bandier comments, "Janice is a talented music publishing executive with the rare quality of having an understanding of every aspect of our business. Her knowledge of both the U.S. and U.K. businesses will serve us greatly as we continue our growth in Europe."

Among her key new duties, Brock will handle the day-to-day management of the U.K. operations, reporting to the affiliate's managing director, Rakesh Sanghvi.

She will also liaise with the New York office in developing a global marketing strategy, and will take leadership of the U.K.-based communications office.

Sony/ATV announced Brock as its new VP of the office of the chairman and strategic marketing in August 2007, reporting to Bandier.
Previously, she served with EMI Music Publishing for nearly 18 years, most recently as VP, office of the chairman and external communications when Bandier served as EMI's publishing chairman/CEO.
